My name is Jason Shannon, my fashion story started with teaching myself to sew and making my own clothing. I found my architectural design experience translated well to clothing and was able to create some unique pieces. However, like most people, everyday I grab a t-shirt to wear for unbeatable comfort. The problem is, there are few creative t-shirt designs out there, and the ones from the high end brands, cost hundreds of dollars. This is where ArchitectFirst will fill the void. I am going to raise the expectations for t-shirt designs while still being affordable for everyone.
These clothing designs are under the label, ArchitectFirst, because I will always be an architect first. From 4 years old I wanted to be an architect, and after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, I have spent 20 years practicing architecture. In 2012, I co-founded J_spy Architecture with my wife Paola Yanez. We continue to expand our award winning practice with both residential and commercial work from NYC to California.
